Performance based workshops
Here at Avenue Q puppet and set Hire we try our best to tailor your performance based workshop to suit your needs. You can bring your cast to us or, probably much more convenient for you is one of our professional puppeteers can come to you. You will be able to discuss times and dates directly with the puppeteer and arrange the whole workshop around your needs. The one day workshop will cover all aspects of Avenue Q and how to make your puppets come alive.
It would be best to consider booking the Avenue Q workshop right at the start of your 4 week hire period with the rehearsal puppets so we can deliver them to you and then leave them with you with the workshop fresh in your minds.
We recommend you are familiar with the songs of Avenue Q before the workshop is performed.
The price of the Avenue Q workshop will not be governed by of the number of cast members, but will depend on your location due to travel and accommodation costs of the puppeteer. We have several professional puppeteers on our books in different locations and we will do our best to use the one that best suits your needs.
If you are a School or College you may be able to draw funds from a visiting teacher budget rather than from your show budget.
We are also more than happy to provide an Avenue Q workshop even if you are not hiring the puppets from us.

Laura Bacon
Laura Bacon is a puppeteer based in London but grew up in Haverhill, Suffolk. Starting out by building and performing puppet characters at school and in amateur dramatics, she then went on to teach puppet making and puppeteering at a prestigious summer arts camp in upstate New York for four summers. Following this, she became a semi finalist on Britain's Got Talent, performing incognito as her puppet character 'Patsy May', getting to the final 30 out of 70,000 applicants.
Since then she has trained at the Children's Television Workshop with Sesame Street in New York and worked on various TV and film productions, from networks including ITV, Universal Pictures, BBC, Lucasfilm and Disney.
She has also puppeteered in the Netherlands, Germany and the United States as well as around the UK.
